Naomi Campbell Emotional on ‘Oprah Winfrey Show’

After hearing her mom apologizing for abandoning her as a child, Supermodel Naomi Campbell broke down during a recent guesting on American talk show “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”

Valerie Morris was among  the audience for the taping of the show, which aired on May 3,  and  she listened as her daughter explained what was the real story for her famous temper.

While Naomi explained how she felt hurt when people she trusted lied to her or stole from her, she felt the wounds of her childhood issues were re-opening once again.

When her mother was asked about her opinion, Morris made her daughter cry, when she revealed her parenting problems when Naomi was just a little girl.

Her mom said, “She used the word abandonment and it’s fair to say that yes, I do feel that I abandoned her. I was 19 when I had Naomi and I was a single mum… I wanted the best for my daughter and I left Naomi to work to give her a better life, private education… and so, looking back, you sort of realize that material possessions are not the only thing that a child needs. Naomi, I’m really, really sorry.”

Oprah had to call for  commercial because her guest was distressed to continue with the interview.

After the commercial break, the model struggled to fight back tears welling up again as she said, “Of course I understand the sacrifice she had to make.” The model then burst into tears again, making Winfrey to call for a tissue.
