Michelle Obama lands on Vogue’s March cover

First Lady Michelle Obama appears on the March 2009 cover of Vogue.

Although the high-fashion magazine has photographed every First Lady since Lou Hoover – Mrs. Obama is only the second to have graced the cover.

The only other First Lady to do so was Hillary Clinton.

Wearing a stunning magenta silk dress by designer Jason Wu, the first lady’s image is captured by celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz.

The mag declares her as: “The First Lady The World’s Been Waiting For.”
