Michael Jackson dies after cardiac arrest

The “King of Pop” Michael Jackson died today at the UCLA Medical Center after suffering cardiac arrest. He was 50 years old.
Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Steve Ruda told the L.A. Times that the pop icon was not breathing when paramedics arrived at his home and CPR was performed.
He was rushed by ambulance to the hospital, but his death was announced shortly afterwards.
Jackson was in the midst of preparing for a series of concerts in London but rumors about the singer’s health had been raising questions about whether Jackson would actually perform all 50 shows.
