Lindsay Lohan gets 90 Days in Jail and 90 Days in Rehab

Actress Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 90 days in locked-down rehabilitation facility on Tuesday at a Beverly Hills court.The 24-year old actress cried in court as Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Marsha N. Revel handed down a total of 90 days in jail sentence to her after repeatedly violating her probation terms and for a reckless driving case. The Judge also ordered that  the actress undergo a 90-day in-patient drug rehabilitation program immediately after serving her jail sentence.

“I was tired of how basically she comes and goes when she feels like it, that’s what it sounds like”, according to Judge Revel pertaining to Lindsay’s too many excuses for not attending  a once-a-week rehab class. Lindsay on the other hand defended herself by saying she was either working or doing some charity works during the times she missed her classes and also admitted not taking her offense seriously.

The case started in 2007 when Lindsay was arrested in two drunk-driving incidents. She has been reported several times for repeatedly failing to comply with the terms of her probation including her failure to show up in a mandatory appearance in Beverly Hills Court early this year and was spotted partying in Cannes Film Festival during that time.

The Judge wished Lindsay surrenders on the same day but her lawyer asked two weeks before handing her over.
