Kristen Stewart Goes ‘On the Road’ Before ‘Breaking Dawn

Kristen Stewart is joining the cast of Walter Salles’ adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s classic novel “On the Road.”

According to reports, the Twilight star will play Marylou, the “on-and-off” wife of the author’s alter ego, Dean Moriarty. The novel centers on trips the author took with friends across America in the 1950s.

The independent film will be directed by Walter Salles, who is best known for ‘The Motorcycle Diaries’. It was reportedly financed $25 million film and is expected to begin production in August.
