Gary Coleman Died at 42

Gary Coleman, a ‘Different Strokes‘ actor, has died after suffering from a brain hemorrhage at the age of 42.

The actor passed away at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center at approximately 12:05 p.m. His condition was so severe that doctors were unable to operate. The actor’s wife, Shannon Price, decided to turn off his life support machine.

After the news of Coleman’s death, family of the actor expressed their gratitude to fans for their support and prayers.

“Thousands of e-mails have poured in to the hospital. This has been so comforting to the family to know how beloved he still is. Thank you so much for all that you guys have done and for the support and prayers that you guys have given us,” said the actor’s brother, Shawn Price, at a news conference.

Paying tribute to the actor, Janet Jackson wrote on twitter: “I’m at a loss for words upon learning of Gary Coleman’s passing. I want to remember him as the fun, playful, adorable and affectionate man he was. He has left a lasting legacy. I know he is finally at peace.”

Gary Coleman was known for his childhood role as Arnold Jackson in the series Different Strokes. He also appeared on The Jeffersons and on Good Times.
