Ex-NBA Star Jayson Williams Robbed
Former NBA star Jayson Williams has been robbed of stuff amounting to $150,000. It has been reported that the athlete’s South Carolina estate has been broken into and several sports memorabilia, electronics and jewelry were stolen.
According to NY Post, among the items taken from his house were an autographed Tiger Woods shoes, shorts signed by basketball legend Wilt Chamberlain, and a handwritten lyric sheet by rapper Tupac Shakur. Four plasma-screen TVs and some jewelries that includes a diamond Breitling and a gold Rolex were also stolen.
It is still unclear when exactly in the last two weeks the robbery took place. His wife, Tanya Young-Williams, believes the burglar is an acquaintance because the water-front mansion in Bluffton, SC, is in a gated community.
Williams recently pled guilty to aggravated assault for the 2002 shooting of his limo driver, Costas Christofi. He faces at least 18 months of service in prison.
