The R&B singer Chris Brown was sued by a photographer for assault, claiming he was beaten by Brown’s bodyguard back in March 2009.

According the filed lawsuit in L.A. Superior Court, Shutterbug photographer Robert Rosen sued Brown and L.A. Fitness International for beating him up after taking a snapshot of Brown at the fitness club. The lawsuit included other claims: assault and battery, false imprisonment, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence and premises liability.

Rosen, also a member of the fitness center, tried to take photos of Brown playing basketball. That’s when Chris’ bodyguards yelled at him. Rosen tried to leave the gym but an employee of L.A. Fitness blocked the exit and grabbed him. When Rosen broke free, he fell down the stairs and one of the bodyguards picked him up and physically assaulted him.

This was not the first time the photographer sued a celebrity. In late 2007, he sued Pierce Brosnan over a violent incident in Malibu.
