Celebrities Unite to Help Haiti Victims
A lot of Hollywood celebrities are now actively supporting the cause to help the victims of the recent earthquake in Haiti. Thousands have died when the country was hit by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake on Tuesday, January 12, 2010. This prompted a lot of celebrities to start donations and charity-calls through different media outlets.
Oscar-winning actor George Clooney will be hosting a telethon organized by MTV for the earthquake relief fund on Friday, January 22, 2010. Other stars are also helping by urging their fans to make donations. Some of them are Oprah Winfrey, Coldplay singer Chris Martin, Disney star and UNICEF ambassador Selena Gomez , Nicole Richie, and Demi Moore.
It is nice to hear that many are willing to help out in times like this. Let us take our cue from these celebrities and do our own share of helping. Visit UNICEF or Red Cross to send your donations.
