Carrie Underwood is Engaged

Carrie Underwood is now engaged to a Canadian ice hockey player Mike Fisher.

The American Idol winner, who has been dating Fisher since last year, accepted the proposal on Sunday.

Confirming the news, Underwood’s representative says, “I’m happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn’t be happier. “No wedding date has been set at this time.”

Underwood, 26, declared her feelings for Fisher, 29, publicly in the liner notes of her latest album, Play On, calling her boyfriend “amazing”.

She wrote, “Thank you #12. You are the most amazing addition to my life! You are such a wonderful person and have had such an amazing hand in the building of this album and in the growth of me as a person.

“I love you so much! You make my life better in every way! I thank God for you every day.”
