Brittany Murphy’s Cause of Death Still Unknown

Brittany Murphy‘s cause of death is still unknown until now. LA’s coroners will perform an autopsy Monday as speculations about the actress’ death arises and pointing anorexia may have played a part in her unexpected death just at age 32.

Police and coroner’s officials said no foul play is suspected in the actress’s cardiac arrest Sunday morning in the bathroom of her Hollywood Hills home.

An official cause of death may not be determined for around six to 8 weeks, since toxicology tests will be required, but “it appears to be natural,” said L.A. Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter. He said an autopsy is set to take place in the next two days.

Celebrity website TMZ, which first broke the news, reported there was “a significant amount of vomit” in the bathroom area where Murphy was found unconscious in the shower. TMZ said Murphy “was taking medication for ‘flu-like symptoms for several days”, and “there were a lot of prescriptions in the house”.
