Bea Arthur dies at 86

Bea Arthur, who played the role of Dorothy Zbornak on the hit show “The Golden Girls”, died of cancer on Saturday morning at the age of 86.
She died in her home in Los Angeles with her family at her side, according to the family spokesman Dan Watt.
Dan Watt, who was Bea Arthur’s assistant for six years, said:
“She was a brilliant and witty woman. Bea will always have a special place in my heart.”
Bea won a Tony Award for the musical production “Mame” and an Emmy Award for the sitcom “Maude”.
