Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt gave a wildlife sanctuary in Namibia a Christmas to remember by donating a cool $2 million to help maintain the animal relief center.

Jolie and Pitt made the donation to the Naankuse Lodge and Wildlife Sanctuary after spending Christmas at the center with their kids, the Associated Press said in a report. Aside from helping the sanctuary, which is home to mostly orphaned and injured animals, Jolie said the donation will also help her daughter Shiloh know and understand more about the country of her birth. Shiloh, to whom the donation was named, was born in Swakopmund, Namibia, in 2006. “We want her to grow up with an understanding of her country of birth,” Jolie said. The “Tomb Raider” actress also hailed the dedication of the owners of the sanctuary. “We continue to be impressed by their hard work and dedication to the people and conservation of the land and wildlife of Namibia,” she said.

Jolie, Pitt, and their children spent Christmas at the wildlife center, which also offers luxury accommodation to visitors aside from providing shelter to injured and orphaned animals. According to reports, the Jolie-Pitt children helped feed and care for some animals during their stay.
