Phil Spector’s Mugshot

Posted by Randy

Phil Spector posed for his mugshot (taken today) after being convicted of second-degree murder in the 2003 shooting death of actress Lana Clarkson. The legendary music producer faces at least 18 years in prison when he is sentenced May 29.

Investigators found that Clarkson died of a gunshot fired in her mouth while visiting Spector’s mansion six years ago. The defense had argued that she killed herself.

In addition to second degree murder, the 69-year-old rock icon faces a charge of Use of a Firearm, that carries an additional 5-10 years behind bars.

Spector produced records by the Beatles, Tina Turner and the Ramones among many other groups.  In 1989, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a non-performer.
